The strategic plan committee was formed at the 35th meeting of the Governing Board which was held in Tunisia in February 2005 with the membership of the SAIs of United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Morocco, Kuwait and Yemen as well as the Secretariat-general. The Committee was reconstituted in the 46th meeting of the Governing Board which was held in Republic of Lebanon in October 2011. It was entrusted with the task of assessing the implementation results of the ARABOSAI strategic plan for the period 2008-2012 and having insight into 2013-2017 plans. The committee consists of SAIs of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Palestine, Kuwait (chair), Lebanon, Mauritania (vice-chair) and the Secretariat.
