Establishment of the State Audit Bureau
In implementation of Article (151) of the Constitution of the State of Kuwait, Law No. 30 of 1964 was issued on July 7, 1964, establishing the State Audit Bureau, along with its subsequent amendments. Article One of this law states:
"An independent authority for financial oversight shall be established under the name of the State Audit Bureau, and it shall be attached to the National Assembly."
The Bureau was created with the aim of exercising effective control over public funds to ensure their protection and optimal utilization.
